Energy Transfer
Photosynthesis is a perfect example of energy transfer because it is the synthesis of chemical compounds with the aid of radiant energy and especially light. The formation of carbohydrates from carbon dioxide and a source of hydrogen in the chlorophyll containing cells exposed to light. This is a continuous cycle of taking energy to produce a product. The product then breaks down and releases an initial energy.

This relates to the energy theme because this is an explanation as to where our energy is going. You can see that producers are the main link between other animals and energy sources. This is the transfer of energy through species in an ecosystem. The pyramid shows that for each transfer of energy only a little amount of the energy is actually transferred to the next animal.
